Beyond the Puppets
If you’re still online arguing about who the president is, you are already two moves behind the real power game.
If you’re still online arguing about who the president is, you’re already behind the real game.
And I’m not judging you; I used to be the same way.
I would get worked up at dinner, debating politics like I had a seat at the table where decisions were actually made. I’d stay up late scrolling, fussing at my phone about bills and speeches like it had any real impact on my day. I honestly thought politics was the highest level of power.
Presidents aren’t the ones running anything. They’re just the faces we’re shown. While everyone online is fighting over who’s “right” and who’s “wrong,” the people who truly run things are moving money, shifting influence, and protecting their interests quietly. They’re not arguing on social media. They’re not picking teams. They’re focused on power, and power doesn’t have a color, just a currency.
What made everything click for me was a moment I still remember clearly. I was in a room full of Black entrepreneurs, all excited about a grant program created by a politician we supported. Every single person showed up hopeful. Not one of us received the funding. Instead, we left with emails, photos, and a bunch of words that didn’t help us move forward. I went home irritated, but instead of posting about it, I sat down and started learning how the world actually works.
That’s when I began studying the systems behind everything. I looked into how wealthy families protect their money. I learned how trusts work, why certain laws exist, and how much of our lives are controlled by contracts written in language we’re never taught. I paid attention to how banks operate, why certain countries go to war, and how spiritual teachings have shifted over time to keep people obedient instead of aware. The more I understood, the less I needed to argue.
One thing I realized is that every system has loopholes. Regular people complain about what’s unfair, while the powerful look for what’s written in small print. They’re not worried about who’s in office. They’re looking at the policies written behind the scenes. They’re working with lawyers who understand codes, corporations, and old money rules. None of that is public knowledge because it’s not meant to be.
Another thing that stood out is how intentional it is that we’re never taught real law. I’m not talking about the basics we learned in school. I mean the laws behind banking, jurisdiction, contracts, and ownership. Once you understand those things, you see that most of what we accept comes from agreements we don’t even realize we’re making. And silence counts as agreeing. That alone changed how I move.
Behind politics is banking. Behind banking is belief systems. Behind belief systems is control. Once you see that, you understand why the news sounds the way it does and why people stay emotionally charged. Meanwhile, the people with actual influence are buying property, building private networks, and planning for generations, not news cycles.
So I’m telling you this because we waste too much energy arguing about things that were already decided long before we heard about them. By the time the public sees a law, it’s done. By the time a situation hits the news, it’s been used for profit. By the time people start posting, the power players have already moved on.
What I want for you is simple: stop reacting and start learning. Be intentional. Be aware. Stop letting your emotions be the leash they use to pull your attention around. Your strength is in your understanding and your ability to stay grounded while the world tries to distract you

It all begins with an idea.
It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.
Don’t worry about sounding professional. Sound like you. There are over 1.5 billion websites out there, but your story is what’s going to separate this one from the rest. If you read the words back and don’t hear your own voice in your head, that’s a good sign you still have more work to do.
Be clear, be confident and don’t overthink it. The beauty of your story is that it’s going to continue to evolve and your site can evolve with it. Your goal should be to make it feel right for right now. Later will take care of itself. It always does.
